Hampton Lumber Breaks Ground On South Carolina Sawmill

 

 

 

In early November Hampton Lumber officials welcomed South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster and other dignitaries for a groundbreaking ceremony at Hampton’s new sawmill in Allendale County, SC.

“We appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to become part of the community. We’re thrilled to be laying down roots in South Carolina,” the company states.

The new mill will specialize in producing high-quality southern yellow pine framing lumber and will be the company’s first new sawmill on the East Coast. Once fully operational it will provide 125-140 new jobs.

A fourth-generation, family-owned company, Hampton currently operates nine sawmills in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia.
